BENTON HARBOR, MICHIGAN– February 16, 2022 – Honor Credit Union partnered with Berrien County Animal Control to co-host Honor’s Adoption Days in an effort to clear the shelter. This event ran from Friday, February 11, to Saturday, February 12. Honor covered the cost of adoption fees up to $30 for cats and up to $75 for dogs, resulting in 10 dogs and 4 cats finding their forever homes.
“It is heartwarming to see the animal adoptions take place,” stated Georgia Gipson, Honor’s Community Assistant Vice President. “This is a partnership that we continue to look forward to each year. BCAC shines a light on what it means to care for the wellbeing of these dogs and cats, and these events provide us the opportunity to help them to do so.”
In addition to the sponsored adoptions, Honor team members were present to provide extra Honor items and smiles to the new owners.
Partnering with Honor has become far more than just an annual BCAC event. The camaraderie and teamwork are something we look forward to every year, stated Tiffany Peterson, Director of Berrien County Animal Control. “We couldn’t be happier with this year’s turnout and look forward to future partnerships.”
