Mason McFarland Announced As Community Assistant VP

KALAMAZOO, MI – August 11, 2020 – Honor Credit Union is excited to announce the internal promotion of Mason McFarland to Community Assistant Vice President for the Greater Kalamazoo area. In addition to his new role, McFarland will be serving as the Interim Connect Center Manager in downtown Kalamazoo.
Originally from Berrien Springs, Michigan, Mason McFarland now resides in the heart of downtown Kalamazoo. After obtaining a Bachelor’s in Finance and a Master’s in Business Administration from Trine University, McFarland joined Honor full time in January 2020 as the Connect Center Manager.
While he might be a new face in the Kalamazoo community, McFarland is an expert on living Honor Credit Union’s core values due to his firsthand experience as an Honor Teller, Seasonal Real Estate Specialist, Operations Intern, and Marketing Intern. Outside of work, you can find him hiking, traveling to new places, spending time on the water, and while he loves sports, football is always number one in his book.
As part of the Business Services team, the Community Assistant Vice President works closely with Honor’s Member Center Managers, Member Experience, Marketing, and Real Estate teams to create relationships, serve the community, and act as a connector to provide members with financial solutions for success. As a CAVP, McFarland will be heavily involved in supporting community organizations and building business partnerships.
“I’m excited to connect with individuals and businesses alike within the Greater Kalamazoo community, and build relationships to show all that Honor has to offer,” stated McFarland. “I have a passion for helping people achieve their financial dreams, and I’m looking forward to bringing that passion to life in Kalamazoo.”
Honor Credit Union is proud to serve more than 85,000 members across the State of Michigan.
